Whether they live in our homes or in the wild, Subaru is committed to keeping all animals safe and healthy.
Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.
It’s our goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible.
In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.
We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.
Our Love Promise can be seen in various partnerships with local charities and non-profits. We're grateful for the opportunity, not only to be a part of our community, but to serve it as well.
Veterans Count, a program of Easterseals, NH, provides emergency financial resources to veterans, service members and their families when no other resource is available in order to maintain their health, dignity and over all well being. This year, for the second consecutive year, Belknap Subaru chose Veterans Count as their “Hometown Charity” as part of their Subaru Share the Love program. The money donated will allow Veterans Count to offer a hand up to our brave service members and their families. Through a one-of-a-kind Care Coordination model and the generosity of Belknap Subaru, we are able to fill in the gaps between what our veterans receive in services and what they deserve. Some examples of what our services can provide are, gas cards to assist a veteran getting to and from work, a security deposit for a soldier at risk of being homeless, and one-on-one case management and support to ensure that those who deserve it can access and maximize their VA benefit. None of our services would be accomplished without our community partners like Belknap Subaru.
Join us in our Subaru Loves Learning initiative during the month of August! We are partnering with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in donating science books to Cameron Park Elementary School in the Orange County School District. All of the books that will be donated have been recognized by AAAS as some of the best science books in their field. Contact us to learn more information.
We would like to thank our customers for participating in our E Waste Recycling event during the month of April. With your help, we were able to prevent 2,090 lbs of carbon emissions from polluting the atmosphere. This is equivalent to saving 81 trees, 356 gallons of gasoline, 3,030 plastic bottles, and 13,936 aluminum cans. Thank you for helping strengthen the Subaru Love Promise!
Back in late 2002, my wife and I decided it was time to purchase a Subaru because of it's safety and reliability. The vehicle was to be my wife's, so she was the one spearheading the search and trying to talk to anyone about it. We went to four different dealerships. The first three, each salesperson listened to what she would say, but then talk to me. None of them even knew what they were talking about when it came to the Forester. Then we walked into the fourth one and met Fred Flack. My wife's speech started as normal, and when she finished he turned to me, shook my hand and said it's nice to meet you, but if you want to walk around and browse I need to work with your wife. We knew we were buying a car that day right at that moment. Fred talked to my wife like a person, he listened to her concerns, knowledgeably answered her questions, and showed her what she wanted to see and not what he wanted to show her. He didn't sell the typical "female" features of the car, because she didn't care about them. When they were done, we did in fact drive off in our new 03 Forester, and that started our relationship with Fred. Since then, when we felt it was time to get a new Subaru, we would call Fred and give him the basics then meet him and fine tune what we wanted. With the exception of some personal sales, all of our Subaru's have been bought from Fred. In total, we've bought six different Subaru's from him since 2002. Thanks Fred, you made this possible.
Throughout the month of April, we are hosting an E-Waste Recycling Event in our store to collect unwanted electronics. We've arranged to work with a company who will responsibly collect, re-purpose, and recycle your electronic waste. Help us protect our environment. Just show up with your E-Waste and we'll do the rest! The first 50 customers who contribute will receive a complementary environmental badge of ownership. We will accept: LCD Monitors, Cell Phones, Laptops, Tablets, CRTs up to 40 inches, Video Games/Consoles, Fax Machines, DVD/VCR Players, Printers, Computer Peripherals, Switches/Routers, Cords and Wires.
Performance Subaru partnered with Chapel Hill/Carrboro Meals on Wheels [CHCMOW] in 2014 at the $5000 level, becoming the first ever wheels sponsor, ensuring seniors in southern Orange County had daily hot nutritious meals. CHCMOW also benefited from the annual Subaru "Share the Love" event, receiving $2500 in donations. Local and national publicity has not only helped raise awareness of the need to provide nutritious meals to Orange County seniors, but has also helped raise thousands of dollars used to purchase food and provide delivery transportation. The Performance Subaru team loves the thriving community we live in. While we enjoy providing outstanding customer service on all things Subaru, we also excel in helping out organizations and charities in fun and innovative ways. We recently held our 7th Annual Performance Subaru Dog Show, which was a huge success! Taking place January 10, we were able to raise $2,000 to benefit the guaranteed-adoption center Paws4ever. We received $500 from WQDR radio and $454 in donations through calendar sales. The Performance Subaru team matched the funds raised, rounding up for a total of two grand! We would also like to thank all of the dogs (and their owners) who participated in our 7th Annual Dog Show. It seems safe to say that everyone in attendance had a blast! Freckles was the Best in Show winner, receiving a $100 grand prize. We would also like to congratulate the following winners who also received $50 prizes: "Best Small Dog" Freckles, "Best Big Dog" Randolph, "Best Costume" Bee Bee, "Owner Look Alike" Cory & McKensie.
